Potato Tortilla

Ingredients
1 Russet Potato; cut into wedges
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 eggs
1 tsp paprika ground
1 tbsp parsley
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method
1. Heat oil and cook potato until tender and lightly colored.
2. Add garlic, parsley and saute till aromatic.
3. Beat eggs, and season to taste with chilli powder, salt and pepper.
4. Pour eggs onto cooked potato.
5. Flip another side to continue cooked until the eggs a little bit brown. - serve -

Fried French Bean with Eggs

Ingredients
1 packets of french bean - cut into thin slices for easy to cook
3 garlics - chopped
2 eggs - beat the eggs with some salt and pepper
Salt to taste

Method
1. Heat the oil and put in garlics.
2. Put in french bean to fry. Then, put in salt and stir fry until cooked.
3. Pour in beated eggs and stir a bit until cooked. - Serve -

Note: French bean will take longer time to cooked. Can put in a bit of water while frying it to prevent burnt.

Braised Pork Belly


My dad favourite dish.

Ingredients
1 pork belly - cut into small pieces
5 garlics
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 or 1 cup of water

Methods
1. Heat a bit of oil and put in garlics to fry. (don't put too much oil as pork belly will release a lot of oil while cooking)
2. Put in pork belly and stir fly a while.
3. Put in sugar, dark soy sauce and 1/2 cup of water.
4. Stir and mix well.
5. Cover wok with lid and braised for half an hour. - Serve -

Note: Do not let the sauce to dry up. Add water when going to dry.
You can put some hard boiled egg to braised as well.

Salted Vege Soup (咸菜豆腐汤)

Ingredient
1 block tofu - cut into 4 pieces
1 pack salted vege
1 tomato - cut into cubes
2 drumsticks (can put more)

Seasonings
Salt to taste
1 tsp G powder

Methods
1. Blanch drumsticks in boiling water. Rinsed with water.
2. Place all ingredients in a pot.
3. Boil for 1 or 2 hours. (prefer boil longer)
4. Add seasonigs to taste. - Serve -

Sausage Mushroom Spaghetti

Husband is working today. So cook pasta for lunch and watching Beauty Knows No Pain.
Ingredients
Spaghetti (one person portion)
Sausage (cut into slice)
White button mushroom
Some onion slices
Traditional pasta sauce
2 tbsp water
Methods
1. Put water, olive oil and salt into a medium pot and bring to boil.
2. Put in spaghetti and cook until tender. Remove and set aside.
3. Put 1 tbsp olive oil into frying pan and stir fry onion until fragrant.
4. Stir in sausage and mushroom.
5. Then put in pasta sauce, water and continue stir a while.
6. Pour cooked pasta sauce on cooked spaghetti. - Serve -

Red Snapper Porridge

Ingredients
Red snapper (cut into small pieces)
Ginger (finely slice)
Salt
1 tsp of G-powder

Method
1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil then add in ginger.
2. Fry the fish until cook and put aside.
3. Put rice in rice cooker and add in salt and G-powder.
4. Bring it to boil.
5. Once porridge is ready, stir in the fish with ginger and cook another 5 minutes.
6. Garnish with fried shallots with oil and some soy sauce (based on own preference). - Serve -

Braised Tofu

Ingredient
2 tofu
1 mushrooms; sliced
2 cloves chopped onions
A bit of shallots
A bit red chili
1 egg; beat
Some corn flour

Sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1.5 cup of water/ soup stock (高汤)

Fried tofu
1. Cut tofu into desired size (not too small)
2. Cover tofu with corn flour and dip into egg.
3. Fry tofu into golden brown.
4. Pour remaining egg into tofu and fry.
5. Remove fried tofu and put aside.

Method
1. Heat oil and put in garlics, shallots, ginger and chili stir fry until fragrant
2. Add in mushroom and stir fry for a while.
3. Then, put in fried tofu and sauce.
4. Braise over low heat for 5 minutes until tofu absorbs the flavor. - Serve -

Note: You can also add in minced pork to fry before add in mushroom.
